Congratulations, your mobile device now includes WinMobile Lens Pro. WinMobile Lens Pro is an advanced virtual lens that can be activated using an associated hardware button or the accompanying launcher in the taskbar. It is a very small application that grasps your device's real time screen at the moment it is activated, and allows you to magnify any part of the captured screen to a superb magnified area. The magnified screen can then be scrolled around by dragging the stylus or move around using the navigation keys. By default, releasing the stylus will immediately close the application, but you can set the auto exit feature off and enable you to have more control of the magnified area. The magnified screen can also be customized to various shapes, sizes, zoom factors and magnified into actual pixels or smooth interpolated bilinear pixels stretch area. You can also capture the foreground or background images and save it to the storage folder. The magnified screen can also be docked on each side of your mobile device. A very convenient screen control tool, occupying a permanent small region, is also clearly visible and easily accessible at a tap of your stylus.

How to activate and use WinMobile Lens Pro?

To activate WinMobile Lens Pro you can associate WinMobile Lens Pro to a hardware button or using the accompanying launcher in the task bar. The launcher is activated by default whenever you start WinMobile Lens Pro. Either using the hardware button or launcher, in any application, press the associated hardware button or tap on the launcher to activate WinMobile Lens Pro. Tap on any part of the screen you want to magnify then drag around to any other part of the screen you want to magnify. If you do not uncheck Auto exit feature, then when you lift your stylus, the application exits. Shall you uncheck the Auto exit feature, the magnified screen will linger on until you tap and hold your stylus and select exit also without Auto exit you will be able to tap on any part of the screen to magnify instead of dragging the stylus.

How to associate WinMobile Lens Pro with a hardware button?

Tap n Hold on the screen when WinMobile Lens Pro is active. A context menu will pop up. Scroll down to Hardware Button, tap to select a hardware key. The listed buttons are directly related to the hardware buttons on your mobile device. First button key usually is the left most or bottom left button on your mobile device. How to change options in WinMobile Lens Pro?

Unlike application with options that are displayed in a property sheets or dialogs, WinMobile Lens Pro presents all the options within a tap of your stylus. You can achieve that either tap on the center logo, when the screen control is active, or perform Tap n Hold on any part of the screen when WinMobile Lens Pro is active. Scroll down to any feature and make the necessary change. It is extremely easy to use.

What is a screen control?

The screen control is a round rectangle box that appears whenever WinMobile Lens Pro is activated. Within this box, you have option to size the width and height of your magnified screen using the directional arrows situated at the top center (increase height), bottom center (decrease height), center left (decrease width) and center right (increase width). At the top left part of screen control is the smooth icon to toggle bilinear smooth magnifying or actual stretched pixel magnifying. Smoothing of the magnified image is obviously slower than the actual pixel. At the top right corner you will find the zoom-factor icon that will change the zoom factor from one to five and back again to one. At the bottom left corner, if you tap it, it will toggle displaying state of the outline or border of your magnified area. The last icon at the bottom right is docking option. Tap on it to change magnified area from float, to horizontal, vertical and back to float again. Right in the middle of the screen control is WinMobile Lens Pro logo, tap on it to display a pop up menu listing all the options available. The screen control hence is a collection of setting shortcuts that enables you to change them fast and in real time. The screen control will always be there in the bottom center of the screen whenever WinMobile Lens Pro is active. Even when it is not visible, tap on the area will pop up the screen control. If you uncheck Auto exit, tap on screen control reserved area will not display the magnified screen, do tap and drag a little bit outside of the screen control reserved area and then drag in to magnify the screen control reserved area.

What is the launcher?

The launcher is the replacement of hardware button if you do not want to assign a hardware button for WinMobile Lens Pro. It is indeed a small application which has been designed to launch WinMobile Lens Pro on tap. This application is started by default if you do not unchecked launcher in the options menu. To temporary exit the launcher you can tap and hold it and then select exit, but if the launcher option is checked in the WinMobile Lens pro option menu, it will be launched again on WinMobile Lens Pro activation. If you want to hide it, uncheck launcher in your WinMobile Lens Pro option menu.

What is the smooth option?

Activate smooth option will force WinMobile Lens Pro to perform bilinear pixel interpolation on the magnified area. Such operation will result in smoother appearance but a little bit blur and slower in performance. It could be significantly slow down the display if you set the zoom factor to the max. You can toggle back and fort between smooth or actual pixel display using the top left corner icon in the screen control.

How to capture images?

First select the bitmap format for your image then select capture in the option menu to save the capture image into a file.
